Village Creek State Park

Amazing diversity of both plants and wildlife makes Village Creek State Park a very special place for park goers. The park is 10 miles north of Beaumont on the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve, providing a perfect getaway from the city to camp, canoe, or just enjoy the quiet.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Village Creek State Park’s centennial wish.

Village Creek State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Help with Hurricane Harvey Recovery

Village Creek State Park was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, and the park is still recovering. Many areas of the park were damaged, and the hurricane closed access to a popular swimming area.

With your help, park staff will build a new trail to provide alternate access to the swim beach, shoreline fishing and a wetland wildlife viewing area. This new trail will also make it easier for visitors to pick up paddling equipment through the park’s new rental program.

Once funded, this project will expedite the park’s recovery from Harvey by connecting visitors to new activities and restoring access to a beloved area of the park.

Fundraising goal: $20,000

Give Back to Village Creek State Park
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Village Creek State Park for future funding needs.
