About Us

Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) is calling all Texans to give back to the parks you love. During the Texas State Parks centennial year, TPWF is raising $2 million to fund much-needed projects at all state parks to help our parks thrive for the next 100 years.

Centennial Champions

Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation is proud to partner with the following foundations that love our Texas State Parks as much as we do. Thanks to the generous support of these Centennial Champions, all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your Centennial gift for our state parks.

THE FONDREN FOUNDATION

The Fondren Foundation was established in 1948 by Ella Florence Fondren, the widow of Walter W. Fondren, one of the founders of Humble Oil and Refining Company (later Exxon Company, U.S.A.). The Foundation supports agencies for education, health and human services.

THE JOHN M. O’QUINN FOUNDATION

The John M. O’Quinn Foundation, established in 1986, honors the legacy of founder John M. O’Quinn by supporting conservation, education, health and programs benefitting underprivileged youth in Houston and its surrounding areas.

THE JAMES A. “BUDDY” DAVIDSON CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

The James A. “Buddy” Davidson Charitable Foundation was established in 2004 to honor the legacy of Buddy Davidson and continue his owrk supporting causes focused on education, the environment, wildlife, and other initiatives for a greater good.

THE J.W. COUCH FOUNDATION

The J.W. Couch Foundation was established in honor of Jesse W. Couch, a successful businessman who lived a humble life of service and dedication to the betterment of his home community. The Foundation has already catalyzed great change in its first decade by supporting programs that focus on preserving what is important (Preservation), planning for the future (Education), and taking care of each other (Wellness).

THE ELKINS FOUNDATION

The Elkins Foundation, established in 1956 by Margaret Wiess Elkins and James A. Elkins, Jr., seeks to enrich the quality of life for individuals from all walks of life by supporting a wide variety of educational, healthcare, cultural, community and religious organizations located in and serving Houston and the Greater Gulf Coast.

H-E-B is the Presenting Sponsor of the 100 Years of Texas State Parks Celebration, donating $1 million to help engage and encourage all Texans to discover and explore their parks! In April 2022, H-E-B launched their environmental commitment to Our Texas, Our Future and announced a partnership between TPWF and Field & Future by H-E-B, a clean and green product line that helps preserve state parks and wildlife conservation. Since 2012, H-E-B has contributed more than $20 million to over 500 environmental organizations in land and water conservation, habitat and coastal preservation, and community cleanups.

Since 1991, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation has raised and invested more than $235 million to conserve the wild things and wild places of Texas.
