South Llano River State Park

This pristine river on the southwestern edge of the Hill Country is a welcome refuge for wildlife and people. Folks flock here to swim, float, paddle and fish the river, but you can also camp, hike, bike, geocache, spot turkeys and other wildlife, and marvel at the stars.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant South Llano River State Park’s centennial wish.

Give Back to South Llano River State Park

South Llano River State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Paddling 101

The South Llano River is a clear, free-flowing river that kayakers, anglers, swimmers, and tubers love. It’s a perfect stretch of water for both beginning and experienced paddlers.

At South Llano River State Park, there is easy access to the river, but park staff don’t have the equipment to host paddling programs to introduce people to the sport.

With your help, park staff will purchase kayaks, lifejackets, and paddles to connect more people to this popular pastime for years to come.

Fundraising goal: $12,000

Give Back to South Llano River State Park
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with South Llano River State Park for future funding needs.
