Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site

Visitors come to discover the ancient rock art left behind by early canyon dwellers, who etched their stories on the natural stone walls. Set along the Rio Grande near Del Rio, park goers also enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking, and marveling at the unique history and nature of Seminole Canyon.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Seminole Canyon State Park’s centennial wish.

Give Back to Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site

Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site’s Centennial Wish:

Make the Night Sky Come Alive

While the rock art will draw you in, the ancient wonder of the night skies filled with stars tells tales older than time.

Seminole Canyon is a great place to view dark skies, and many park visitors are drawn to state parks away from the crowds of the city.  Park staff would like to invest in a variety of telescopes and dark sky viewing equipment to help visitors connect to the wonders of the night sky.

With your help, visitors to Seminole Canyon will see the sky in a whole new way.

Fundraising goal: $7,000
