Ray Roberts Lake State Park – Greenbelt Corridor

Set amid a mixed forest and prairie environment, visitors can escape the bustle of the city and get back to nature just an hour north of the DFW Metroplex. The Greenbelt Corridor is one of nine units making up Ray Roberts Lake State Park and offers trails, fishing and more.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Ray Roberts Lake State Park’s centennial wish for the park’s Greenbelt Corridor.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park – Greenbelt Corridor’s Centennial Wish:

Restoring the Native Prairie

The Ray Roberts Lake State Park – Greenbelt Corridor spans over 20 miles of multi-use trails, crossing a variety of habitat types.  One of the habitat types found along those trails are pockets of tallgrass prairie, which are one of the fastest shrinking ecosystems in North America.

Park staff would like to restore approximately 15 acres of native prairie, and to do so they need native wildflower and grass seed, herbicide, and related equipment.

With your help, a tallgrass prairie will come to life and will be a safe haven for birds, butterflies and other wildlife.

Fundraising goal: $15,000

Give Back to Ray Roberts Lake State Park - Greenbelt Corridor
