Purtis Creek State Park
This 355-acre lake is a well-loved bass fishing destination, but fishing is not all that is offered. Park goers love Purtis Creek for the endless opportunities to swim, boat, paddle, camp, explore the Wolfpen Trails by foot or bike, or simply relax.
Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Purtis Creek State Park’s centennial wish.
Purtis Creek State Park’s Centennial Wish:
Access for All
Purtis Creek State Park has nearly six miles of trails and a grassy swim beach that thousands of visitors explore annually. But for visitors with limited mobility, these areas of the park may be inaccessible.
With your support, the park will offer an opportunity for more visitors to access these treasures.
A modified wheelchair with large all-terrain tires, foot straps, seat cushion, and push handles will greatly enhance accessibility to the swim beach, the trails, and other rough terrain areas within the park.
Fundraising goal: $5,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Purtis Creek State Park for future funding needs.
