Pedernales Falls State Park
Flowing through huge slabs of limestone, the Pedernales River can be turbulent. But most often it is tranquil, and a popular spot to relax and recharge. Just 30 miles west of Austin, local day trippers love to stop by for a quick swim or hike, while others often stay overnight for spectacular starlit adventures.
Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Pedernales Falls State Park’s centennial wish.
Pedernales Falls State Park’s Centennial Wish:
Enhancing the Visitor Experience
At Pedernales Falls State Park, park staff offer many programs to connect people to the park. From atlatl programs that combine education on ethical hunting practices and the cultural history of Texas to extensive birding offerings, park staff strive to offer many different opportunities for visitors.
With your support, the park will enhance the visitor experience by purchasing the following items:
- Atlatl supplies to refresh existing equipment, accommodate more people, and accurately represent the life of native peoples.
- Binoculars and spotting scopes for use in the park’s two bird blinds and for birding programs. These items can also be used for astronomy programs.
Fundraising goal: $7,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Pedernales Falls State Park for future funding needs.
