Mustang Island State Park

Park lovers are drawn to the 5+ miles of unspoiled sand and surf along the Texas Gulf Coast, which offers plenty of room for fun in the sun. Hang out on the beach, fish in the bay, add new species to your birding life list, and more by exploring this barrier island park.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Mustang Island State Park’s centennial wish.

Mustang Island State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Just Add Shade

A popular request by visitors to Mustang Island State Park is to have more shaded picnic tables on the beach, and the centennial celebration for Texas State Parks is the perfect time to make those requests a reality.

Funds will be used to construct durable shade shelters made with pressure-treated lumber and stainless-steel screws to withstand the harsh beach environment. The structures will also be portable and built on skids so they can be removed from the beach when storms approach or when there are higher than average tides.

With your assistance, Mustang Island State Park visitors will have it made in the shade!

Fundraising goal: $40,000

Give Back to Mustang Island State Park
