Lockhart State Park
Park goers love this quiet getaway just south of Austin, where you can spend a relaxing night camping under the stars, tee off on the historic golf course, look for geocaches and wildlife while exploring the trails, fish in Clear Fork Creek year-round, and swim in the pool on hot summer days.
Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Lockhart State Park’s centennial wish.

Dark Sky Investments & Overnight Camping for Kids
More and more park visitors seek night sky viewing opportunities at Texas State Parks. A new telescope would allow park staff to expand dark sky viewing opportunities and teach visitors the wonders of the sky after sunset.
Park staff would also like to provide overnight camping programs for scouts, home school programs, and Lockhart ISD programs. A free tent loaner program consisting of up to 20 tents for visitors to borrow would enhance and expand the park’s camping opportunities.
With your help we can enrich the visitor experience at Lockhart State Park.
Fundraising goal: $3,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Lockhart State Park for future funding needs.
