Lake Brownwood State Park
Civilian Conservation Corps workers spent years building this special park in the heart of Texas. Today, their legacy endures. A longtime favorite for families holding annual reunions, the park offers guests the opportunity to stay in a historic cabin, walk the scenic trails, and play in the cool waters of Lake Brownwood.
Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Lake Brownwood State Park’s centennial wish.
Lake Brownwood State Park’s Centennial Wish:
Give Bikers a Break
Scenic roadways and mountain bike trails attract mountain bikers and road cyclists to Lake Brownwood State Park. As any biker knows, maintenance issues happen, and park staff want to make it easier for on-the-spot repairs.
With your support, the park will install several bike repair stations throughout the park. The stations will include many common repair tools, a heavy-duty air pump for tires, and a rack to support the bike while making repairs.
Stations located throughout the park will allow guests to conveniently repair and maintain their bikes and will promote recreation in the park for years to come.
Fundraising goal: $7,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Lake Brownwood State Park for future funding needs.
