Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site

For thousands of years, people have trekked to this sacred desert sanctuary. In earlier times, they came for the rainwater pooled in natural rock basins or huecos. Visitors today come to marvel at the imagery left by those ancient people, making it a must-visit destination for history lovers.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Hueco Tanks State Park’s centennial wish.

Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site’s Centennial Wish:

Providing Access for All

Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site is largely inaccessible to mobility-challenged visitors due to uneven surfaces and obstacles that limit standard wheelchair use.

To enhance the visitor experience for those with mobility issues, park staff would like to purchase two all-terrain wheelchairs that visitors can use for free. One will be self-propelled and one will be motorized.

With your help, Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site will be more accessible for all.

Fundraising goal: $30,000

Give Back to Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site for future funding needs.
