Goliad State Park & Historic Site

Native Americans, Spanish explorers and missionaries, Texian soldiers and early settlers once walked this land in southeast Texas. Now visitors young and old travel here to follow in their footsteps and peek into Texas’ past. Park goers also enjoy camping, hiking and biking the park’s trails, and fishing or paddling the San Antonio River.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for exciting projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Goliad State Park’s centennial wish.

Give Back to Goliad State Park & Historic Site

Goliad State Park & Historic Site’s Centennial Wish:

Make the Night Sky Come Alive

As our big cities continue to grow across the Lone Star State, more park visitors are seeking dark sky viewing opportunities in Texas State Parks, away from the lights of urban areas.

Goliad has great potential for quality night sky viewing and park staff would like to provide more options for visitors.

With your help, the park will purchase telescopes and related equipment to create new night sky viewing experiences for visitors.

Fundraising goal: $5,000

Give Back to Goliad State Park & Historic Site
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Goliad State Park & Historic Site for future funding needs.
