Falcon State Park
Falcon State Park is a treasured refuge for both humans and wildlife, offering bass, birds, and blooms all year long. Anglers come here to access one of the best freshwater fishing lakes in South Texas, the 84,000-acre Falcon International Reservoir on the Rio Grande.
Throughout 2023, we are raising money for exciting projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Falcon State Park’s centennial wish.
Falcon State Park’s Centennial Wish:
Enhancing Birding, Hiking and Paddling Opportunities
While fishing is a huge draw at Falcon State Park, birding, hiking and paddling are other favorite pursuits, and park staff seeks to enhance those opportunities with a variety of new equipment.
This equipment includes:
- A new spotting scope to serve birders, wildlife watchers and school groups visiting the park.
- A new water bottle filling station with an accessible water fountain and pet station to keep visitors and their pets hydrated.
- A fleet of kayaks, paddles and related safety equipment to create new opportunities for visitors to get out on the water.
With your support, these equipment purchases will improve the visitor experience for all at Falcon State Park.
Fundraising goal: $16,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Falcon State Park for future funding needs.
