Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

Magical, mystical, enchanted. The massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people to the area for thousands of years, but there’s much more to discover than just the dome. The scenery, rock formations and legendary folklore place this park at the top of many park goers’ favorites list.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for exciting projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Enchanted Rock State Natural Area’s centennial wish.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area’s Centennial Wish:

UTV & Night Vision To the Rescue

Enchanted Rock is a gateway for rugged adventure for more than 300,000 visitors annually. They come to climb, camp, rappel off cliffsides, and much more. And, of course, accidents happen.

Park staff assist, transport, and provide medical attention to some of these visitors each year through search and rescue operations. The terrain can be unforgiving, and staff are asking for a Utility Terrain Vehicle equipped for the park’s rocky terrain and better suited to transport a rescue litter and medical supplies.

Since some search and rescue operations happen at night, park staff are also hoping to acquire night vision equipment to improve search capabilities and potentially save lives.

With your assistance, park staff will be ready to come to the rescue if needed.

Fundraising goal: $40,000
