Copper Breaks State Park

Early Americans, including the Comanche, camped in this part of North Texas for thousands of years, replenishing body and soul. Today the rugged terrain, quiet water bodies, and dark night skies provide endless opportunities for exploration and solitude. As a designated International Dark Sky Park, adventures are written in the stars.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for exciting projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Copper Breaks State Park’s centennial wish.

Copper Breaks State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Quench Your Thirst

Visitors to Copper Breaks State Park love the rugged beauty of the landscape. One of the most important things to bring to the park is plenty of water, especially in the extreme climate of the Texas Panhandle.

With your support, park staff will install four water bottle filling stations to make hydrating all the more convenient.

These ADA-accessible water bottle filling stations will allow visitors to easily replenish their water while promoting sustainability by reducing plastic waste from single-use water bottles.

Fundraising goal: $8,000

Give Back to Copper Breaks State Park
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Copper Breaks State Park for future funding needs.
