Cedar Hill State Park

Cyclists, anglers, and history buffs love this park that is just minutes from downtown Dallas. Here you can relax by the lake, tour an old Texas farm, or explore the 13 miles of hiking and biking trails that crisscross rugged limestone hills and rare prairie pockets. Feel like you are a world away from the city in this urban oasis.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for exciting projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Cedar Hill State Park’s centennial wish.

Give Back to Cedar Hill State Park

Cedar Hill State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Access for All

The sparkling waters of Joe Pool Lake draw thousands of visitors to Cedar Hill State Park annually, with a good percentage of visitors coming to access the lake itself.

With your help, the park would like to increase the accessibility of the lake by adding an easy-to-use ADA transfer bench system with a drive-through EZ Launch. This new amenity will allow people with disabilities, children, or seniors to feel confident transferring into their watercraft independently and will provide extra stability when launching and docking.

The new launching system will also provide a safe border around the dock edges for wheelchairs, with a dark color contrast for added visibility.

Fundraising goal: $15,000

Give Back to Cedar Hill State Park
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Cedar Hill State Park for future funding needs.
