Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway’s Centennial Wish:
UTV to the Rescue
With over 90 miles of front and backcountry hiking trails, Caprock Canyons State Park is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The rugged landscape creates stunning vistas, but also many challenges. Heat exhaustion, injuries, and lost hikers are just some of the emergency calls park staff respond to regularly.
With your help, a new rescue utility vehicle will greatly aid in search and rescue efforts over the many miles of terrain that are often not accessible by road. As more visitors discover the beauty of these canyonlands, the park is responding to more rescues. The ability to quickly reach the lost and injured is essential to a happy outcome for all park visitors.
Fundraising goal: $25,000
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway for future funding needs.
