Blanco State Park

Visitors enjoy coming here for picnics, afternoon swims, fishing trips or weekend campouts on the banks of the spring-fed Blanco River. Located just four blocks from Blanco’s charming, historic time square, water and land adventures abound at this treasured park.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Blanco State Park’s centennial wish.

Blanco State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Water, Water, Everywhere

At Blanco State Park, most visitors come for the water. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and picnicking along the gorgeous blue-green river are especially popular. Anglers fish for largemouth and Guadalupe bass, channel catfish, and sunfish, as well as rainbow trout, which are stocked each winter by TPWD fisheries staff.

For visitors seeking drinking water during their time at the park, park staff are asking for two free-standing water fountains with water bottle filling capabilities.

In addition to promoting sustainability, the fountains will be ADA-accessible and freeze/frost resistant, which will extend their usefulness.

Fundraising goal: $15,000

Give Back to Blanco State Park
