Bastrop State Park

For more than 70 years, folks have visited Bastrop State Park to enjoy its history and marvel at the Lost Pines. Though forest fires and floods have ravaged the park in recent years, Bastrop is experiencing a wonderful rebirth of new trees, new plants and new life.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Bastrop State Park’s centennial wish.

Bastrop State Park’s Centennial Wish:

Quenching Your Thirst on the Trail

Coming soon to Bastrop State Park is a new, ADA-accessible trail system. Day users and campers alike will be able to enjoy these renovated hike and bike trails to explore the growing forest, look for the new generation of loblolly pines, and witness the resilience of nature up close.

To serve visitors during the Centennial and beyond, park staff would like to install two water fountain and water bottle filling stations at trailheads, complete with dog bowls for four-legged hikers.

With your support, these accessible water stations will help visitors and their pups stay safe and hydrated and will encourage sustainability through the use of refillable water bottles.

Fundraising goal: $17,000

Give Back to Bastrop State Park
