Barton Warnock Visitor Center

Serving as the entry point for westbound explorers entering Big Bend Ranch State Park, the visitor center is well-loved for its Chihuahuan Desert-inspired botanical garden and historic “Una Tierra – One Land” exhibit. This popular pit stop is a one-stop shop for visitors seeking information and adventure in Texas’ largest state park.

Throughout 2023, we are raising money for much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks. Give back today and help us grant Barton Warnock Visitor Center’s centennial wish.

Barton Warnock Visitor Center’s Centennial Wish:

Bike Maintenance Stations for Mountain Bikers

Many visitors to the Barton Warnock Visitor Center are mountain bikers who come to enjoy Big Bend Ranch’s extensive network of rugged mountain biking trails.

It can be rough going, however, and many bikers find themselves putting their bike repair skills to use.

With your assistance, park staff will install three bike maintenance stations at the East Contrabando and West Contrabando trailheads and the Sauceda Ranger Station to provide visitors with a designated location and tools for bike maintenance and repairs.

Fundraising goal: $10,000

Give Back to Barton Warnock Visitor Center
Once the initial priority project has been funded, any dollars raised beyond the needs of the park’s priority project will remain with the Barton Warnock Visitor Center for future funding needs.
